As you state in your description, "making a directors dream come true". Why is that something you want to do? Why do you want to work your ass off for something no one will recognize you for? Are you a creative person, or a methodical, efficient worker? Thanks, love your blog!

I am a methodical worker and a creative thinker. ADs are not just mindless busy bodies. We have to bring our own creativity into this to help aid the production. Problems arise and it’s up to us to help offer solutions, which can’t be done if you’re not a creative thinker. I am very often asked my opinion on set in regards to creative ideas and if I can’t help the direct see something they are not seeing, then I am failing a big part of my job.

OMG IT'S A FILM PRODUCTION BLOG

Assistant Directors don't always yell. Sometimes we write about stuff. Because I'm a workaholic, I sometimes feel the need to document the things I see and the questions that are raised while going through the most insane process of making a director's dreams come true. About me: My name is Michelle. I am a (currently) non-union First Assistant Director working out of Austin, TX. I hope to one day join the DGA and direct my own scripts on the side, but until that time comes... Got questions? Comments? Complaints? A project you want me to AD? (I'm cheap!) Email me at - goingforpicture@gmail.com You can also find me on the good ol' twitter - twitter.com/m0thra
